Round 2!

You may well be aware that earlier on in the year I attended a Brett Harkness Wedding Photography Workshop at Chicheley Hall. At the end of the Blog (see here) I asked the question, so what next?

I always knew I would attend another workshop of Brett’s, but why?

Training, education, learning, studying, whichever you want to call it, is something that I am constantly aspiring for. I firmly believe that you can never learn too much and that there is always something to be learnt.

and I wasn’t wrong…

Brett dived deeper into the business side, deeper into the theory and even deeper into the practical. Getting all attendee's to really think about what he was demonstrating. Letting people figure out and understand the reasoning behind his every teaching BUT in such a way that you are definitely going to walk away with a heap of knowledge and confidence.

There’s lots of workshops out there, which can teach you every aspect of running a photography business, be that the business side or the photography side but very few leave you walking away knowing exactly what your next steps are and having the confidence to go out and put everything you’ve learnt into practice.

So why Brett?

To put it simply, to be the best, you have to learn from the best. Brett is one of the UK’s most sought after Wedding Photographers. He’s photographed weddings of people and in places that most can only dream of (or aspire to). He’s someone who is very much ‘in the thick’ of what he does. What I mean by that is, he isn’t just an educator, he actively photographs weddings, does commercial work, portrait work, writes articles for professional magazines, the list goes on and is always looking to push himself further.

Everything that he teaches you is fact, there is no shortcuts and he’ll happily tell you this. But he’s open and honest and if he thinks there’s something you can improve on, he’ll tell you and he’ll do it in such a way that it’s not condescending. Truthfully, he’s one of the most humble people I’ve met.

But because of all of this, you don’t walk away with the attitude of “what does he know?!”, “who’s he to tell me this?” and that’s because of how respected he is in the Industry.

But above all of that….. If none of that really matters to you, you’ll have an absolute heap of fun! Brett makes his courses fun for absolutely every level of skill.

So, if you want to improve your Photography, meet and socialise with like minded people then I can highly recommend Brett’s workshops…..
