Nuthurst Grange Country House Hotel Wedding - Jo and Lee
Jo and Lee got married at Nuthurst Grange Country House. A 19th century country house buried within 7 acres of private woodland in Hockley Heath. Nuthurst Grange is within easy reach of Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon and despite being close to major motorway links it feels a million miles away. I daresay having a helipad adds to this.
From a purely selfish perspective I have to say the bridal suite where Jo had the morning preparations had the most gorgeous window light, I was in my element.
Jo asked me, what exactly happens during bridal prep in terms of photographs?
For me this is the perfect opportunity to set the scene, every story should have a beginning a middle and an end. This isn’t an opportunity for cheesy photos. I understand how nerve wracking this time of day can be and having a camera shoved in your face first thing in the morning is no one’s idea of fun. Therefore, during this time, my aim is to capture the scene, the details and the story that unfolds.
Moving on to the wedding itself, I had noted that during the best man speech, who just so happened to be the groom’s brother, there were several electrician puns (Lee is an electrician). So I figured I’d keep with that theme. Shocking I know. But watt can you do? It seemed like a bright idea at the time.
But don’t worry, the best thing about electrician puns is that they are all current.
I’m pretty up to date with my electrician puns. Some might say I’m a current specialist.
So what was the wedding car I hear you ask? Was it a Volts-wagon?
It might come as a shock but the cake wasn’t a shock-a-lot cake.
Well guys if you managed to make it this far, then congratulations and thank you. I would grab my coat, if I wasn’t already at Ohm.
I’m sorry, you can leave now, there will be no resistance.
Thanks for reading.
As always, if you or someone you know is looking for something a little different for their wedding photography. Something a little like this! Then please, do get in touch. Dates for 2020 are booking up and I only take a limited number of weddings on a year.
